BOARD CHANGES
Galliford Try, one of the UK's leading construction groups, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Alison Wood as a Non-executive Director. The
appointment will formally commence with effect from 1 April 2022.
The Group also announces that Peter Ventress intends to step down as
Non-executive Chairman and leave the company with effect on 15 September 2022,
after more than seven years on the Board. The Board intends that Alison Wood
will, following a period of transition and handover, assume the role of Chair
of the Board and Chair of the Nomination Committee on Peter stepping down.
Peter Ventress, Chairman, commented: "I am delighted to welcome Alison to
Galliford Try as a non-executive director. Alison has a wealth of experience
and her appointment will further strengthen our independence and the
experience of the Board. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Galliford Try
and leave the business with a capable Board and management team, strong
balance sheet and market-leading sector position."

On appointment Alison will become a member of the Audit, Remuneration and
Nomination committees. On appointment as Chair, Alison will attend the Audit
Committee meetings by invitation, continue as a member of the Remuneration
Committee and assume chair of the Nomination Committee.
Alison Wood's biography
Alison Wood studied Engineering, Economics & Management at Oxford
University and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. She spent nearly 20
years at BAE Systems PLC in a number of strategy and leadership roles,
including that of Group Strategic Director, and was the Global Director of
Strategy and Corporate Development at National Grid PLC from 2008 to 2013.
Alison has previously held Non-executive Director positions with BTG PLC, Thus
Group PLC, e2v PLC, Cobham PLC and Costain plc. Alison is a Non-executive
Director and Chair of the Remuneration Committee at TT Electronics PLC and
Capricorn Energy PLC and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair
of the Remuneration Committee at Oxford Instruments PLC. Alison is also
Senior Independent Non-executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration
Committee at the British Standards Institution.
