Portugal's Galp starts 37-day refinery shutdown, sees no supply impact LISBON, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Portugal's Galp GALP.LS has begun a planned 37-day maintenance shutdown at its 225,000-barrel-per-day Sines refinery, but it does not expect any disruption to diesel and jet fuel supplies or exports, a company spokesperson said on Thursday.
The maintenance work is being carried out in the refinery's Factory 3 area, which includes the hydrocracker, one of its key fuel-processing units.
"This shutdown will have no impact on the supply of diesel and jet fuel to the market or on exports, as Galp has sufficient inventories," the spokesperson said.
Sines, Portugal's only refinery, accounts for most of the country's fuel supply.
