** Shares of Garware Hi-Tech Films GARW.NS rise as much as 2.5% to 3255.3 rupees

** Chemicals maker says it has started commercial production of new polypropylene fiber (PPF) line in Waluj, Maharashtra state, at estimated cost of 1.25 bln rupees ($14.1 mln)

** YTD, however, GARW down ~37%

($1 = 88.7625 Indian rupees)
