** Shares of silver miner  GATO.N  down as much as 18.02% at
$15.88, on track for worst session ever 
    ** Co to offer 6.5 mln shares of common stock and certain
stockholders to offer 1.82 mln shares of common stock to the
underwriters - GATO 
    ** Signs agreement with Dowa Metals & Mining Co to retire
the outstanding Los Gatos JV term loan
    ** Co's attributable portion of term loan and related fees

    ** Stock up ~19% YTD, as of last close
