RBC cuts Bucher, ups GEA on contrasting agriculture exposure
BUZZ-RBC cuts Bucher, ups GEA on contrasting agriculture exposure ** RBC downgrades Switzerland's Bucher Industries BUCN.S to "sector perform" from "outperform", while upgrading its German partial peer GEA Group G1AG.DE to "outperform" from "sector perform", which reflects the companies' differing exposure to agricultural markets
** The Swiss industrial machinery maker is more impacted by the resulting decrease in demand for farming equipment as agriculture makes up 55% of its overall market, RBC says
** It adds European agriculture equipment manufacturers are now expecting a revenue decline for the next 12 months
** RBC says the German food-processing equipment maker's business is less affected by the recently rising farming costs as GEA's exposure to farm investments is low at around 13%
** The broker highlights GEA's strong position in the profitable pharma and pure flow processing technology sectors, raising its earnings expectations for the company
** Shares of GEA Group and Bucher are up about 8.8% and down 14.0% YTD, respectively
