Plumbing supplier Geberit posts slight dip in H1 core profit

Aug 20 (Reuters) - Building materials supplier Geberit GEBN.S reported a 0.7% decrease in its first-half profit on Wednesday and said it expects a continued decline in new construction activity across Europe in the second half.

Core profit (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) came in at 514 million Swiss francs ($636.06 million) down from 517.5 million Swiss francs the same period year ago.
