RNS Number : 7244D Gelion PLC 16 October 2025

16 October 2025

Gelion plc
("Gelion", the "Company" or the "Group")

Transformational Full Collaboration Agreement with a Tier One Battery
Manufacturer

Successful Transition of the Materials Testing Agreement to a Full
Collaboration Agreement

Gelion plc (AIM: GELN), the global energy storage innovator, is pleased to
announce that the Materials Testing Agreement signed with a Tier-One battery
manufacturer ("Partner") in April 2025 has now transitioned to a multi-year
Collaboration Agreement. This milestone follows the successful and independent
validation of Gelion's advanced Cathode Active Material (CAM) developed in
partnership with the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (MPI) by
the Partner.

The Partner is a global electronics and battery manufacturer with over 100,000
employees globally, operates major manufacturing facilities across Asia,
Europe, and the Americas, serving industries such as automotive, industrial,
and consumer technology.

This Collaboration Agreement marks a significant inflection point for Gelion,
demonstrating clear industry recognition of Gelion's innovative sulfur battery
platform by a world-leading manufacturer. Key features of the agreement
include:

· Joint development of pouch cell prototypes using Gelion-supplied
CAM, targeting advanced lithium-sulfur battery applications.

· Gelion scaling up CAM production to support prototyping efforts
across the Partner's manufacturing sites.

· Robust provisions protecting Gelion's intellectual property and
confidentiality, safeguarding the Company's proprietary advancements.

This partnership will facilitate acceleration of Gelion's pathway from
prototype to commercialisation, enabling the Company to work alongside a
Tier-One manufacturer and significantly derisking the development of
industry-standard cells capable of high-power output and long-cycle life. The
agreement supports Gelion's strategic focus on bringing its sulfur battery
platform to commercial readiness, with potential applications across
next-generation mobility, aviation, and energy storage solutions.

John Wood, CEO of Gelion, commented: "We see enormous scope for our Sulfur
Cathode material to have broad reach and impact across the full field of
battery applications. This agreement allows us to move quickly to realise
its full potential by collaborating with a partner with the market reach and
experience with the complementary technologies and manufacturing capabilities
needed to develop and deliver compelling full cell propositions while allowing
Gelion to stay capital light ."

consumption and storage more sustainable.

Glossary

Ah Ampere hours. A measure of capacity stored in the cell. The larger the number
                         the higher the capacity.
mAh/g(S) The unit mAh/g(S) stands for milliampere-hours per gram of Sulfur (with S
indicating "Sulfur"). It is a measure quantifying how many electrons (in mAh)
can be stored per gram of Sulfur.
 CAM Cathode active material
Energy density (Wh/kg) The ratio of energy stored per unit weight i.e. Watt-hours per kilogram. The
higher the number the lighter the battery.
Pouch cell An industry standard format of a battery which comprises a flat pouch-shaped
design with a multi-layered laminate structure.
Cycle life The number of full charge and discharge cycles a battery can complete before
its capacity falls below a specified level, typically 80% of the original
capacity. Higher cycle life indicates longer-lasting performance.
