** Shares of crypto platform Gemini Space GEMI.O jump 16% to $13.19 premarket

** Co says it has received a license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to offer prediction markets to U.S. customers

** Prediction markets allow investors to bet on outcomes from any events or topics, including sports tournaments and monetary policy

** Co is the latest entrant into the space in the U.S.

** Six of 10 brokerages rate the stock "buy", four "hold"; median PT is $28.5 - LSEG data

** As of last close, stock had shed nearly 70% of its value vs its IPO price of $37.01

** Co made its stock market debut in September
