Generation Bio climbs on licensing deal with Moderna for Genetic Medicines

** Generation Bio Co's  GBIO.O  share jump 19.8% to $4.66 
before the bell
    ** Drug developer says it has entered into a licensing deal
with Moderna Inc  MRNA.O  for its proprietary drug delivery
system and DNA technology targeting immune cells and the liver

    ** GBIO will also receive an upfront cash payment of $40
million, and an additional $1.8 billion in milestone payments
    ** Moderna will fund all research and development activities
under the deal
    ** GBIO fell ~45% last year
