** U.S.-listed shares of French drug developer  GNFT.O  rise
11.1% to $4 premarket 
    ** Co announces Phase 3 study evaluating elafibranor in
Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC)  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nGNX130D7p
    ** PBC is severe cholestatic liver disease that impacts and
gradually destroys bile ducts, leading to inflammation and
scarring of liver
    ** There is no existing cure for PBC and if left untreated,
can lead to cirrhosis, liver failure and may ultimately require
liver transplantation
    ** Up to Thursday's close, stock down ~81% YTD
