Genuine Parts to spin off auto unit, separating industrial and vehicle businesses

Feb 17 (Reuters) - Automotive and industrial parts distributor Genuine Parts GPC.N said on Tuesday it will spin off its auto parts unit into a separate company, months after it reached a settlement with activist investor Elliott Investment Management.
