Director/PDMR Shareholding
Genus plc (LSE: GNS) announces that, further to the vesting on 9 October 2021 of conditional nil-cost options granted in 2018 under the Genus 2014 Performance Share Plan (the 'PSP') and conditional nil-cost options granted in 2018 under the Genus Deferred Share Bonus Plan (the 'DSBP') as listed in tables A and B, and tables C and D below respectively, members of the Genus Executive Leadership Team ('GELT') sold ordinary shares in Genus on 12 and 13 October 2021 on the London Stock Exchange, to offset income tax and social security liabilities due on the exercises and retained the balance of ordinary shares.
Conditional nil-cost options granted under the PSP were subject to relevant performance conditions, measured over a three-year performance period which commenced on 1 July 2018 and ended on 30 June 2021. Following assessment of the performance conditions, the Remuneration Committee determined that the awards would vest at 81.2% of the original grant and the balance of the awards have lapsed.
The below notifications, made in accordance with Article 19 of the Market Abuse Regulation (EU) 596/2014 as it forms part of domestic law by virtue of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, give further detail on the number of nil-cost options exercised and ordinary shares sold on 12 and 13 October 2021.
