UK's Genus soars on top-end annual profit forecast

** Shares of British animal genetics firm Genus  GNS.L  soar
nearly 19% to 1,692 pence; stock best performer on FTSE 250
index  .FTMC 
    ** FTMC up 1.7%, on track for biggest jump since July 
        ** Co sees FY25 adjusted pre-tax profit to be at the
top-end of market's expected range of 63 million pound to 67.4
million pound ($76.97 million to $82.35 million)
    ** H1 adjusted pre-tax profit is also expected to be ahead
of expectations at 35 million pounds
    ** Peel Hunt raises FY PBT forecast by about 5% with room
for upside
    ** In 2024, stock fell ~28%
