THE GLOBE AND MAIL
- Oil company ReconAfrica RECO.V has cancelled a planned
stock promotion campaign led by a Florida-based company whose
registered owner had previously been sanctioned by regulators in
Canada.
- Manulife Financial Corp MFC.TO has renewed a deal with
drug provider Bayshore HealthCare that is part of a plan to open
up the insurer's pharmacy network after it cancelled a
controversial exclusive arrangement with Loblaw Cos earlier this
year.
- Gildan Activewear GIL.TO shareholders will vote on
proposal to investigate allegations of human-rights abuses
during the company's annual meeting in Montreal on Tuesday.
NATIONAL POST
- Postmedia Network PNCa.TO , the company that owns the
National Post and dozens of other newspapers across Canada, said
it is selling the Winnipeg Sun, the Graphic Leader, and Kenora
Miner & News, to Klein Group on Monday.
