Australia's Perenti partners with Sandfire on Motheo copper project, shares rise

** Shares of Perenti Global  PRN.AX  rise as much as 7.4% to
A$0.730, marking their biggest intraday percentage gain since
May 14 
    ** Co says its surface mining business in Africa - African
Mining Services - has been awarded open pit mining contract at
Sandfire Resources'  SFR.AX  Montheo Copper project in Botswana

    ** Co says under contract, AMS will identify a suitable
local Botswana co or companies for a 70:30 JV partnership for
the project
    ** PRN is the top most gainer in the Australian metals and
mining index  .AXMM ; SFR shares hit highest since May 19 and
extend gains to a second straight session 
    ** PRN hits highest since May 18, and is on track for second
consecutive session of gains 
    ** PRN down ~50.4% this year, as of last close
