** Shares of chip company GlobalFoundries GFS.O rise 6.5% to $72.18 premarket

** GFS expects Q2 2026 revenue to be $1.76 billion, plus or minus $25 million, compared with analysts' average estimate of $1.74 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Co says its Q1 revenue rose 3% from a year earlier to $1.63 billion

** As of last close, GFS up ~94% this year
