** The companies are still negotiating some of the complexities of a deal after lengthy talks, FT says; no deal has been finalised and discussions could yet shift or collapse

** One complicating factor is Apple's AAPL.O 20% stake in GSAT, requiring talks between AMZN and APPL, according to the report

** GSAT has risen 12.3% YTD
