May 5 (Reuters) - Italian hearing aid group Amplifon AMPF.MI reported a 6.7% rise in its first-quarter net profit on Tuesday and said it anticipates organic growth above 3% in 2026.
The group recently agreed to buy the hearing business of Denmark's GN Store Nord GN.CO for 2.3 billion euros ($2.7 billion).
Q1 adjusted net profit totalled 44.4 million euros ($51.95 million)
Q1 adjusted EBITDA was 141.8 million euros
Net debt at March-end stood at 1.02 billion euros
Adjusted EBITDA margin was 24.5%, up 60 basis points on the same period the previous year
Amplifon expects organic growth above 3% in 2026 and an improvement of adjusted EBITDA margin in the region of 100 basis points
The results come after a difficult year for Amplifon, as slowing sales and rapid technological development put the hearing aids industry under pressure
