India's Goa Carbon soars on quarterly profit jump

** Shares of calcined petcoke maker Goa Carbon Ltd  GOAC.NS 
rise as much as 8% to 605 rupees
    ** GOAC's quarterly profit jumped over 1.5x from a year
before, led by net sales that nearly doubled and core profit
that more than doubled
    ** Shares trade above their 50-, 100-, and 200-day moving
averages of 573.52 rupees, 507.08 rupees and 477.55 rupees,
respectively
    ** Nearly 300,000 shares change hands by 9:29 a.m. IST, 3.9x
their 30-day avg volume
    ** Stock had risen 35.7% in 2022, its third straight year of
gains
