India's Goa Carbon soars on strong qtrly results

** Shares of Indian petrochemical company Goa Carbon Ltd
 GOAC.NS  rise as much as 20% to 498.5 rupees, their sharpest
intraday gain since March 25
    ** Stock headed for a second session of gains
    ** Co on Friday posted a 474.5% jump in its Sept-qtr profit

    ** Sale of products more than doubled to 4.26 bln rupees
from 1.5 bln rupees Y/Y
    ** More than 265,000 shares traded, 14 times their 30-day
moving avg of more than 18,800 shares
    ** Up to last close, GOAC had risen 7.5% YTD
