NZ's Veritas Investments surges; gets refinancing worth $18.99 mln

** Shares of Veritas Investments Ltd  VIL.NZ  soar as much
as 40 pct to NZ$0.70, their highest since Nov 30, 2017
    ** Co says unit of financial services group Nomura Asia
Holding N.V agreed to provide NZ$27.5 mln ($18.99 mln) credit
facilities to Veritas  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nFWN1SP0Z1
    ** The investment company also agreed to grant warrants to
Nomura to acquire up to 19.9 pct of ordinary shares in Veritas
for no consideration
    ** Stock posts biggest intraday percentage gain since Feb 2,
2017; on track for a fourth straight session of gains
    ** More than 229,000 shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average of 64,330 shares
    ** Stock is second-biggest percentage gainer on the S&P/NZX
