** Graphite electrode maker reports Q1 net profit of 1.22 billion rupees, against loss a quarter ago
** Revenue from operations up 12.9% sequentially
** Strong performance also pushes peer Graphite India GRPH.NS up about 6% for the day, 3.2% for the year
** Stocks among top three gainers on Nifty 500 index .NIFTY500
** ICICI Securities says HEGL's gross margins also improved sequentially, driven by lower raw material costs
