GDPR Privacy by Design focus for DQM GRC

 

GRC International Group plc (LSE:GRC), a leading privacy and cybersecurity
specialist, is pleased to announce the launch of a new website for its
subsidiary, DQM GRC, focused on its award winning Privacy by Design capability
and market leading position in services for commercial data owners.

Privacy by Design is a regulatory requirement under the General Data
Protection Regulation, which requires organisations to implement appropriate
technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal data. Increased
customer awareness of privacy considerations and recent legal cases such as
the CJEU's decisions regarding international data transfers, along with the
prospect of fines of up to 4% of global groupwide turnover for privacy
failings, make Privacy by Design an important strategy for any organisation
developing and launching data-driven products and services.

DQM GRC won 'Best Privacy by Design' at the DMA Awards and 'Best Privacy and
Data Ethics Initiative' at the DataIQ awards for its work with client
WarnerMedia in 2020.
