Andrew White to Depart Great Portland Estates
Great Portland Estates plc ("GPE") today announces that Andrew White, Development Director, will be leaving the business later this year after more than thirteen years with the Company. Since joining GPE in 2013, Andrew has played a leading role in delivering many of the Company's most significant developments, including Rathbone Square, Hanover Square, 30 Broadwick Street, 50 Finsbury Square, 2 Aldermanbury Square, The Delft and 30 Duke Street. Over this period, he has helped deliver more than 2.5 million sq ft of prime development, generating over £400 million of development surpluses.
Andrew is widely respected across the real estate industry for his commercial judgement, planning expertise and ability to build strong relationships with local authorities, development partners and stakeholders. His contribution has been instrumental in the success of many of GPE's landmark projects and in creating long-term value.
Toby Courtauld, Chief Executive of GPE, said: "Andy has made an exceptional contribution to GPE over the past thirteen years. He has played a central role in many of our most successful developments and has helped shape the business through a period of major growth and change."
"He is a highly respected colleague whose judgement, professionalism and integrity have been greatly valued by everyone who has worked with him. On behalf of the Board and all his colleagues at GPE, I would like to thank Andy for his significant contribution and wish him every success in the future."
Andrew White said: "It has been a privilege to be part of GPE for the past thirteen years and to work alongside such talented colleagues and partners. I am enormously proud of what we have achieved together and of the developments we have delivered across central London. I leave with many great memories, lasting friendships and a deep appreciation for everyone who has contributed to that success."
Andrew will remain with GPE during a transition period to ensure an orderly handover of his responsibilities to existing members of the development team. Dan Nicholson, Executive Director, retains Board level responsibility for development and Andrew's role will not be replaced.
