Apple edges up after report on co exploring new memory chip suppliers

** iPhone-maker's shares  AAPL.O  up 0.2% at $178.2
premarket
    ** AAPL is exploring new suppliers for memory chips used in
its iPhones, including a potentially first Chinese supplier,
after a key Japanese partner had an output disruption, according

    ** AAPL supplier - Japan-based Kioxia Holdings Corp had
reported a contamination last month at two of its manufacturing

    ** Co is now testing sample NAND flash memory chips by
Chinese co Yangtze Memory Technologies Co, the report said
    ** AAPL is developing its own payment processing technology
and infrastructure for future financial products, according to a
