Board Changes
The Company announces that, in view of an internal reorganisation of portfolio responsibilities, Hazel LLP, the Manager, has suggested a change to the director representing the Manager on the Company's Board. Having considered this suggestion, the Board announces that the following directorate changes have taken place:
Gareth Owen has resigned as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Bozkurt Aydinoglu has been appointed a replacement non-executive director also with immediate effect.
Bozkurt is a partner of Hazel LLP. He took a leading role in the purchase or refinancing of several of the Company's investments including Lunar 1 and Lunar 2, and is closely involved in the monitoring of these investments. An engineer by background, and an investment banker and VC in the first ten years of his career, Bozkurt has been exclusively focused on the clean energy industry since 2002 as an entrepreneur and investor. He co-founded New Energy Finance which was sold to Bloomberg in 2009, and has deep experience of investing in the sector across asset classes.
The Board believes that Bozkurt's detailed knowledge of many of the Company's investments along with his significant experience in the sector will be a valuable addition to the Board.
The Board would like to express its thanks Gareth Owen for his contribution since being appointed in 2012 and look forward to continuing to work with him in his ongoing role in Hazel LLP.
The Company confirms that there are no disclosures required under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of Bozkurt's appointment.
