Spain's competition watchdog CNMC approved on Wednesday the proposed acquisition of Banco Sabadell SABE.MC by its larger rival BBVA BBVA.MC, though the combined lender will have to accept several remedies in its retail banking arm if the long-running hostile takeover bid clears the remaining hurdles.

Spain's grid operator denied on Wednesday dependence on solar power was to blame for the country's worst blackout, while Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez came under increasing pressure to explain what went wrong.
Separately, the company said on Wednesday its first-quarter net profit was 137.8 million euros.

Amper said on Wednesday it signed a contract for remaining 49% stake in subsidiary Elinsa.
Separately, the company said on Wednesday it would increase share capital by 372,168 euros.

Ecolumber said on Wednesday it received authorization for two-month extension in submitting reports.
URBAS UBS.MC
Urbas said on Wednesday it was not able to submit annual report on time due to lack of mandatory audit report.

Barclays raised its target price to 14.9 euros from 13.7 euros.

JP Morgan raised its target price to 231 euros from 229 euros.
