U.S. stock index futures rose in volatile trading on Thursday, as strong July
retail sales data and Walmart's upbeat results eased some concerns about the
economy slipping into recession, while mixed reports on the trade dispute kept
investors on edge. .N 
    At 9:02 a.m. ET, Dow e-minis  1YMc1  were up 0.67% at 25,625. S&P 500
e-minis  ESc1  were up 0.65% at 2,859.25, while Nasdaq 100 e-minis  NQc1  were
up 0.70% at 7,541.
