Sept 1 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index opened flat on Tuesday.
* GSK: GSK GSK.L said it will advance its mRNA-based seasonal influenza vaccine candidate to a late-stage trial after mid-stage data showed it generated stronger immune responses than currently approved standard- and high-dose shots in younger and older adults.
* BODYCOTE: Veritas Capital agreed to buy Britain's Bodycote BOY.L in a £1.85 billion debt-inclusive deal.
* ASTRAZENECA: AstraZeneca AZN.L and Hutchmed 0013.HK said that a late-stage trial of a combination of their cancer drugs Tagrisso and Orpathys significantly improved progression-free survival when given early for a type of lung cancer.* OCTOPUS ENERGY: Octopus Energy said it had acquired Danish power trading firm BD Energy.
* CAPRICORN ENERGY: DNO DNO.OL has agreed to buy Capricorn Energy CNE.L for $396 million.
* FRASERS: Frasers FRAS.L said it was reviewing its support for Hugo Boss' BOSSn.DE supervisory board Chair Stephan Sturm.
* LSEG: LSEG LSEG.L said it plans to launch a tokenized version of UK shares and will work with Payward.
* GAMMA COMMUNICATIONS: Gamma Communications GAMA.L agreed to a £1.08 billion takeover including debt, by private equity firm Epiris.
* WPP: WPP WPP.L is cutting up to 1,000 more jobs by year-end as Britain's biggest advertising group accelerates a restructuring programme under new chief Cindy Rose.
* GLENCORE: Glencore GLEN.L has been threatened with a $1.4 billion lawsuit from embattled trader Radiant.
* HOUSE PRICES: British house prices rose 0.2% in August, leaving them 1.6% higher than a year earlier.
* RETAIL PRICES: British retailers raised prices by the most in more than two years last month.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices gained, Gold prices slipped and London zinc rose to its highest in more than four years.
