The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq indexes dropped from their record highs on Friday
after dismal results from mega-cap firms Apple and Amazon.com, while gains in
Chevron and Caterpillar helped the blue-chip Dow outperform.  .N 
    At 10:30 am ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.14% at
35,682.15. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.36% at 4,580.06 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.53% at 15,366.004.
