** Shares of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd GSFC.NS rise as much as 7.1% to 197.25 rupees
** Co reported 8.7% y/y rise in Q2 consol net profit, rev up 21%
** Co says Q2 growth largely driven by fertilizer segment with 21% increase in revenue, supported by higher sales volumes
** Adds, softer prices of natural gas and ammonia provided partial relief
** Stock set to snap 5 days of losses
** More than 3.5 mln shares traded as of 10:01 a.m. IST, 5.4x their 30-day moving avg
** GSFC last up 5.8%, cutting YTD losses to 6.8%
