U.S. stock indexes fell at the open on Thursday, after data showed U.S.
inflation was higher than expected in September, keeping the Federal Reserve on
track to ease interest rates by 25 basis points at its next meeting.  .N 
    At 10:31 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.34% at
42,366.65. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.24% at 5,778.03 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.18% at 18,258.921.
