BERLIN, Dec 12 (Reuters) - Swiss-based MSC secured 92.3%
of port operator HHLA HHFGn.DE together with the German city
of Hamburg after the end of a second acceptance period at
midnight on Thursday, the world's biggest container shipping
company said on Tuesday.
MSC had offered to buy almost half of the main operator of
Hamburg port in September, with the city of Hamburg, which owns
69% of HHLA's A shares and all of its unlisted S-shares,
retaining control with a 50.1% stake via the S-shares.
