** American bank holding company Hancock Whitney Corporation's shares HWC.O fall 1.6% to $47.91 premarket

** Stephens cuts HWC target price to $69 from $73 citing decreased loan balances and co's lowered loan growth guidance, maintains 'overweight'

** Brokerage now expects loan growth of 2% in 2025 from prior estimate of 4%

** HWC on Tuesday lowered loans guidance to be up low single digits from year ago levels, from prior outlook of up mid-single digits

** As of last close, stock had fallen 11.02% YTD
