South Korea defence minister to visit Croatia for rocket launcher deal SEOUL, Sept 9 (Reuters) - South Korean Defence Minister Ahn Gyu-back will visit Croatia from Wednesday through Friday to attend the signing of a contract for the Chunmoo multiple-launch rocket system made by South Korea's Hanwha Aerospace 012450.KS, Seoul's defence ministry said.
Ahn is scheduled to meet Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Thursday before attending the contract ceremony, the ministry said in a statement.
The deal would mark South Korea's first defence export to Croatia and an important step in expanding bilateral defence industry cooperation, it said, without disclosing the scale or value.
Hanwha declined to comment.
South Korea has previously exported the system to NATO members Poland, Estonia and Norway.
