May 13 (Reuters) - German shipping group Hapag-Lloyd HLAG.DE on Wednesday reported a decline in profits in the first quarter, citing an impact from lower freight rates and disruptions due to severe weather conditions and the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz on the back of the Iran war.
The group posted a quarterly net loss of 219 million euros ($257.00 million) compared to a profit of 446 million euros in the first three months of 2025.
