** Castlelake said it was no longer pursuing a takeover of easyJet <EZJ.L>, ending its months-long buyout attempt of one of Europe's biggest budget airlines weeks after a higher bid from rival suitor Apollo Global APO.N.

** Eye drug maker Tarsus Pharmaceuticals <TARS.O> said it would acquire privately held Alkeus Pharmaceuticals in a cash-and-stock deal worth up to $800 million, adding an experimental oral therapy for a rare inherited retinal disorder with no approved U.S. treatment.
