    - Mining giant BHP Group  BHP.AX  offered to buy Anglo
American  AAL.L , a longtime rival with a market capitalization
of about $35 billion, in a potential megadeal that could reshape
the global mining industry.
    
    - Hipgnosis Songs Fund  SONG.L  has agreed to an improved
$1.51 billion takeover by Apollo-backed music company Concord
Chorus, trumping a rival offer from Blackstone  BX.N .
    
    - Cybersecurity company Rubrik plans to raise $752 million
through a U.S. listing, the latest company to tap an initial
public offering market that is heating up.
    
    - The U.S. Justice Department is conducting a criminal
investigation into consulting firm McKinsey related to its past
role in advising some of the nation's largest opioid
manufacturers on how to boost sales.
        
  
        - Blackstone  BX.N  said it is buying restaurant
franchiser Tropical Smoothie Cafe for nearly $2 billion,
