French broadcaster Canal+ slips in London debut

** Canal +  CAN.L  opens at 290p in its London market debut,
currently trading at 259p, down 10.7% from open 
    ** The France-based media company lists 991,959,494 ordinary
shares, its entire issued capital on LSE 
    ** The company spun off from French media conglomerate
Vivendi  VIV.PA  along with Havas and Louis Hachette Group 
    ** Havas  HAVAS.AS  has debuted in Amsterdam, while Louis
Hachette  ALHG.PA  started trade on Euronext Growth in Paris
    ** British finance minister Rachel Reeves said on Friday
Canal+'s decision to list on the London Stock Exchange was a
"vote of confidence" in Britain's market
