** British recruiter Hays HAYS.L said that it has sold its businesses in six European countries and is considering more exits, as a prolonged hiring slowdown in the region pushes the group to sharpen its focus on core operations.

** Italian digital transformation group Engineering said it would sell units Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence to global tech consulting company Accenture ACN.N.

** The founder and executive chairman of the world's largest container shipping company MSC, Gianluigi Aponte, is looking to acquire a stake in German rival Hapag-Lloyd HLAG.DE, Manager Magazin reported , citing sources.
