Hays plc (the "Company") has been notified that, on 30 November 2018, Mrs Merete Cox, spouse of (and Person Closely Associated with) PDMR, Alistair Cox, Chief Executive of the Company, sold 1,100,000 shares in the Company on the London Stock Exchange at a price of 157.3579 pence per share. This divestment was part of a planned asset diversification strategy.
Alistair Cox retains an interest in 3,923,527 ordinary shares in the Company, owned beneficially or subject to a holding period, with a value of 834% of his salary, and interests through the Company's performance-based incentive schemes and options in a further 2,129,742 shares in the Company.
This significantly exceeds his requirement to hold shares valued at over 200% of salary.
