BRUSSELS, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Hyundai 267250.KS on Thursday
said EU antitrust regulators' veto of its proposed acquisition
of rival shipbuilder Daewoo 042660.KS is unreasonable and
disappointing and that it would pursue other possible measures
including a court challenge.
Hyundai said there are other credible competitors in South
Korea, China, Japan and Russia, and that the European
Commission's focus on market shares may not be a good indicator
of market power in the shipbuilding industry.
