India's HDFC Asset Management hits 5-month high on block deals

** India's HDFC Asset Management Co  HDFA.NS  up as much as
9% at 2,063.00 rupees, their highest since Jan. 20
    ** Around 158,500 shares changed hands in multiple block
deals in range of 2,035-2,055 rupees a share
    ** British asset manager Abrdn  ABDN.L  will sell up to
41.26 bln rupees ($503.5 mln) of shares in HDFA via block deals,
CNBC-TV18 reported Monday
    ** Overall, 2.2 mln shares changed hands, ~5x 30-day avg
    ** HDFA shares down 8.6% so far this year
