BERLIN/FRANKFURT, June 9 (Reuters) - The following are some
of the factors that may move German stocks on Thursday:
    
    UKRAINE
    The battle for the Ukrainian city of Sievierodonetsk is
brutal and will determine the fate of the Donbas region, said
the country's president, as Russian troops lay waste to the city

    Volkswagen AG is "actively" looking to build new assembly
and battery facilities in the U.S., Scott Keogh, Chief Executive
Officer of the German company's North American subsidiary, told

    Separately, the Kommersant newspaper said on Thursday that
Volkswagen is offering pay-offs to employees at one of the
company's two plants in Russia if they agree to quit

    The drugs and chemicals maker issued bonds worth 1 billion
euros ($1.07 billion), with proceeds to be used for general

    The construction group said it would sell new shares that
amount to almost 10% of its equity capital to repay debt that it
took out for the takeover of its Australian subsidiary CIMIC.
