    Italy reported 27 coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday
against 21 the day before, the health ministry said, while the
daily tally of new infections rose to 7,230 from 6,596.

    ISTAT releases June industrial output data (0800 GMT) and
monthly bulletin on the state of the economy in July (0900 GMT).
    Bank of Italy releases July data on Target 2 liabilities and

    Treasury announces sale of 12-month BOT bills, with relative
amounts to be auctioned on Aug. 11.

    The Italian tyremaker Pirelli said on Thursday it would
manage to offset increasing pressures from raw material costs in
the second half, as it raised its full-year forecasts after
posting higher-than-expected operating profits in the second

    The Tuscan lender posted better-than-forecast quarterly
results on Thursday, while delaying planned job cuts and
reducing an expected capital shortfall as rival UniCredit

    Italy's third-largest bank swung to profit in the second
quarter, beating expectations thanks to one-off tax benefits and

    Italy's Eni said on Thursday it had agreed to buy digital
green utility Be Power in a bid to grow its electric vehicle

   BANCA POPOLARE DI SONDRIO  BPSI.MI 
   The Italian cooperative bank said on Thursday its board has
approved a draft by-laws, to be submitted to the regulator,
aimed at transforming the bank into a joint stock company.

    CREDITO EMILIANO  EMBI.MI 
    The bank said on Thursday its first-half net profit came in
at 136.4 million euros, up from 77.9 million euros one year ago.

    STELLANTIS  STLA.MI 
    The carmaker said it was not aware of any plans on jobs at
its operations in Italy and that was strongly committed to the
country, as shown by its recent announcement for a new battery
plant in Termoli and other several industrial initiatives it has
undertaken, The statement came after a report on Tag43 website
saying CEO Carlos Tavares aimed to reduce 12,000 jobs in the
country by 2024.
