UPDATE ON BOARD REVIEW

 

The Board of Henderson European Trust plc announced on 3 February 2025 that, in light of the resignation from Janus Henderson Investors ("JHI") of the Company's two co-portfolio managers, it intended to solicit shareholder views on the strategic direction of the Company and to review the Company's position with regards to the feedback received.

 

The Board subsequently resolved to undertake a comprehensive review of the Company's options and engaged Deutsche Numis, the Company's corporate broker and financial adviser, to provide advice and manage the process, and brought in WTW, an investment consultant, to provide analysis, perspective and opinion on the investment component.

 

This review is now at an advanced stage, including consideration of a proposal from JHI, and the Board intends to provide a substantive update in the Company's half-year results announcement scheduled for publication by the end of June.
