** Indian aluminium producers hit record highs; Nifty Metal .NIFTYMET notches record, up 1.57%

** NALCO NALU.NS shares jumps 5.23% to 331 rupees; Hindalco HALC.NS rises 3.44% to 925.7 rupees

** Aluminium price at highest since May 2022; LME aluminium CMAL3 rose 0.1% to $3,000 per ton

** HALC rated "hold" on avg by 27 analysts, median PT at 839 rupees; NALU rated "buy" on avg by 11 analysts, median PT at 269 rupees - data compiled by LSEG

** In 2025, HALC rose 47.2% vs NALU's 28.5% climb, while the sub-index rose about 29% vs Nifty 50's .NSEI 10.5% rise
