RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN declined 0.36% versus the U.S. dollar to 96.88, as a deadlock in U.S.-Iran peace talks kept oil prices elevated, fuelling worries of a global inflation surge that have ramped up bets on rate hikes, lifting bond yields and weighing on equities. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 95.65 rupees, with the yield up 1 bp at 7.1224%, as rising U.S. Treasury yields dimmed the appeal of emerging-market debt and spurred outflows, weighing on the rupee. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was up marginally at 6.27%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC rose 2 bps to 6.86%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5.25%, and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5.15%.
