Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 7 September 2015 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares at an average price of 483.73p per share:

200,000
Highest purchase price paid per share: 
486.10p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
481.50p
The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above transaction, the Company holds 5,200,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 646,630,815 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
