Howden Joinery Group Plc (the "Company") announces that on 1 March 2016 it purchased through UBS Limited the following number of its ordinary shares at an average price of 497.53p per share:

Highest purchase price paid per share: 
500.25p
Lowest purchase price paid per share: 
491.90p
The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above transaction, the Company holds 9,952,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 641,878,815 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
